Documents required for your loan application

Learn more about what documents you'll need to submit to complete your loan application.

1. Confirmation of immigration status

Based on your current immigration status, we require one of the following documents.

Permanent resident: You need to provide us with your valid PR card or your Confirmation of Permanent Residence

If you've recently arrived in Canada and are waiting for your PR card, please provide us with your Confirmation of Permanent Residence.

Provincial nominee: You need to provide us with your Provincial Nominee acceptance letter and the PR application confirmation email from IRCC

Canadian citizen: You need to provide us with your Canadian Citizenship Certificate or your Canadian Passport

Convention refugee / protected person: You need to provide us with your Notice of Decision and if applicable your PR Card

If you are a refugee who has been issued a PR card, please just provide us with your PR card.

2. Proof of prior education

You can provide any of the following documents.

A credential assessment from a recognized organization (e.g. WES, ICAS, MIFI, etc.) or a credential/experience assessment from a regulatory body (e.g. NCA, MCC, PEBC, NDEB, etc.)

A copy of your post-secondary education or certification

3. Learning plan

You will need to provide us with documents related to your learning plan.

Please submit documents related to your learning plan, such as a signed and dated admission, registration, or enrollment letter. This document should include details about the courses or exams you plan to take, the duration of the course, fees, and any other relevant information.

4. Banking information

Please provide us with a system-generated void cheque or a direct deposit form that includes your full name, bank name, institution number, branch number, and account number.

The documents must be system-generated; we do not accept handwritten void cheques or screenshots of your banking profile.

5. Government-issued photo ID

You need to provide us with any of the following documents to support your application.

Your valid driver’s license

6. Proof of address

You need to provide us with proof of the current address you are residing by providing one of the following documents.

Your valid driver’s license

A void cheque with your full name and address

7. Selfie ID verification

You need to provide us with a photo of yourself holding your government-issued photo ID.
